Orange-Hamden Split Twin-Bill in Zone 2 Legion Play

Orange and Hamden split a Doubleheader on Sunday in Zone 2 Legion Baseball. 

Game 1 went to Hamden 10-0(called after 5 mercy rule). Brendan Kirck got the win. Kirck pitched a no hitter, the second of his Legion career. He received offensive help from Jamie Santore, who had 3 rbis, and Trevor Brandi who chipped in with a 2 run single.

Game 2 went to Orange 4-3. Mike Ficaro got the win. Jared Smith got the save. Alec Smith had a single and 2 rbis for Orange.

Branford swept Milford 6-3 and 7-1. Jeff Jablonski got the win in Game 1 and Eddie Zanor got the victory in Game 2.

Stratford swept West Haven 6-0 and 11-2. Game 1 Pat Browne was the winning pitcher. Anthony Herman had 2 hits and 3 rbis and Connor Anstis had 3 hits for Stratford.

Game 2 Jonathan Och was the winning pitcher.

East Haven defeated New Haven 3-0. Nick Kraszewski got the win for East Haven, pitching a 1 hitter.
