Rain Washes Out High School Slate

The rain washed out nearly all the baseball and softball games in the area on Wednesday.

It washed out my first scheduled softball broadcast between Sacred Heart Academy and West Haven. But fret not, I try again on Monday, May 1.

Foran at North Haven 6:55pm on ESPNradio1300, ESPNradio1300.com & iheartradio is my next Softball broadcast.

Notre Dame(Ffld) defeated Immaculate 12-0 to remain unbeaten.

In the meantime, Wally and I will be taking in a game on Thursday(I hope).

On the Thursday Softball Schedule:

Branford at Hillhouse, Foran at Cheshire, Wilbur Cross at Career, Bullard Havens Tech at Platt Tech, Sheehan at Lauralton Hall, Amity at Mercy, Law at North Haven, Woodland at Seymour, Guilford at Shelton

On the Baseball Schedule

Wilbur Cross at Foran, Hand at West Haven, Harding at O'Brien Tech, North Haven at Xavier, Sheehan at Shelton

As for Wally and me, there's a matchup in the Shoreline Conference which is huge in Girls Softball.

The Noises of Hale Ray(they used to be called the Little Noises, they've since dropped the Little), 9-0 will visit the Thunderbirds of North Branford(7-1), but unbeaten in Conference play.

I used to have a Parakeet named T-Bird, named after the Thunderbirds, because of his purple belly. He was a good little guy. I think about him and then I think about North Branford, the Thunderbirds.

Hale Ray- North Branford - a dandy

Yes, a trip to T-Bird land - Wally and me - and thoughts of my T-Bird.
