Yea - the weather finally broke and Wally and I finally got to watch our first scrimmage. We took in Sacred Heart Academy and East Haven at the Pit in East Haven. It still wasn't the warmest day, but at least a game was played. It turned out to be a pretty good game, although both teams made many mistakes on defense. SHA won the game 5-4.
The joy of getting out will only last 1 day as the rain returns Friday.
Saturday is Opening Day in Baseball and Softball and many games are scheduled around the state.
But I'm sure many will be postponed and moved to later dates.
But at least Wally and I got out for 1 day. As a matter of fact, I'm glad I got to see SHA, since the Sharks are featured in my first broadcast on Wednesday, April 26th at 7pm at West Haven.
In the meantime, Wally and I will wait for the good weather to finally arrive and cover the games leading up to my initial broadcast.
Wally seemed to enjoy his first game - made new friends and saw some old ones. Everyone loves Wally - why wouldn't you - he is a love - my love.
So everyone knows Wally - many by name - I wish they'd remember me!
