'Borat' Star Busted By Gun Store Owner During Undercover Video

Sacha Baron Cohen's attempt to pose as a Hungarian immigrant trying to buy a gun was put to a stop by a California gun store owner. Norris Sweidan who owns Warrior One Guns & Ammo in Riverside, California agreed to participate in a segment for a documentary about a Hungarian immigrant who wanted to purchase a gun in the United States.

Sweidan thought everything was legitimate until the Hungarian man showed up to his store.

“He comes in, off the bat you can see in the video I’m looking like, this guy does not look like a Hungarian immigrant. Tight-a** leather pants, a beard, it just didn’t fit,” he told FOX 11. “The moment his words came out of his mouth I was like, ‘this guy is full of s***.”

When Cohen realized the gig was up, he bolted from the store, leaving his camera crew behind.

The incident happened in February 2017, and Sweidan believes it was supposed to be part of Cohen's new show Who Is America?, which recently premiered on Showtime.

Sweidan just released the surveillance footage of the incident to Fox 11 and slammed Cohen and Showtime for their antics.

“He was fake, the producers were fake, the show was fake, and Showtime is fake to be honest with you,” Sweidan concluded. “They want a real story, come talk to us. We'll give you a real story.”
