Championship Week rolls on and the games continue to be exciting. Case in point, Thursday's Broadcast - SCC Tournament Girls Basketball Division 1 Championship Game, pitting Hamden against Wilbur Cross.
Cross led 14-8 after 1 Quarter and 26-22 at the Half. Cross carried that 4 point lead into the 4th Quarter. The Governors led 42-33 at 1 point, but the Green Dragons were not done. Gianna Donnarummo hit 3 3 pointers, Diamond White made 9 foul shots and Hamden won their 3rd straight SCC Tournament Championship beating Wilbur Cross 55-52.
Diamond White had 24 points for Hamden, 14 from the foul line, Leah Philpotts had 11 points and Gianna Donnarummo and Alana Philpotts had 9 points each for the Green Dragons.
Jaylice Rosario had 18 points and Kandie Everett had 15 points for the Governors.
Sacred Heart Academy defeated West Haven 55-39 to win the SCC Tournament Division 2 Championship.

The ND(WH) - Fairfield Prep Div. 1 Hockey Championship Game was canceled due to COVID-19 Safety Protocols.
