Meet Stella!

Meet Stella!

Welcome to a new member of the POA family! This sweet, grey, and white pit mix is ready to fill your heart and home with love.

Stella is a young gal at just over a year old and weighs in at 50 pounds...50 pounds of snuggles and butt wiggles that is! She is very friendly and loves the company of humans and dogs alike! Now add a tennis ball in the mix and she’s putty in your hands! Just watch out for those puppy dog eyes that will surely melt your heart. As the warm weather creeps in, we would love Stella to be in a new home enjoying some play time and basking in the sun!

We are learning new things about Stella everyday as we work on her basic training, but has already proven to walk pretty well on a leash and is house trained! She is also quite the show off and will sit, lay down, and give paw for a yummy snack. With consistency and love from her new family she is going to be an amazing member.

If you would like to adopt Stella or find out some more information, you can fill out an application and reach out to her adoption counselor at andrea.u@poa.org .

Protectors of Animals

About Protectors of Animals:

Protecting animals and preserving communities.

We are a nonprofit 501(c)3 no-kill animal shelter and rescue. POA was formed in 1975 to rescue abandoned, abused and stray cats and dogs. Today we are one of the oldest and most respected animal welfare organizations in the northeast. POA is here to stay! You will not find a more dedicated, experienced or thorough resource for improving the lives of Connecticut cats and dogs. We confine our focus to our home state because this is where our infrastructure and resources reside, as well as our leadership.
