There are more than 50 drop-off locations throughout the state, thanks to Geissler’s Supermarkets, many U-Haul locations, and other small businesses. Those are below!
Top-needed toys include -- activity and coloring books, arts & crafts, animal/character figurines, Barbies, bubbles, card games, fleece blankets, infant/toddler toys, LEGO sets, matchbox cars, Play-Doh, stuffed animals, and superhero action figures.
Why your donations matter:
- Connecticut Children’s uses upwards of 80,000 toys per year. The hospital has seen an influx of respiratory illness patients in 2022 – COVID-19, RSV, common cold, etc. – so, the needs are even more critical this year.
- The toys are used toys to engage, distract and motivate patients. With so many patients visiting Connecticut Children’s, especially this year, there is often a lot of downtime in the waiting room. Toys help alleviate the stress of waiting around.
- In 2021, the Connecticut Lottery, in partnership with iHeartRadio, donated more than 15,000 toys to Connecticut Children’s.
