Jeannie Mai & Jeezy Get Engaged During Quarantine — Get All The Details

Jeannie Mai and Jeezy are engaged!

According to People, the 42-year-old rapper popped the question to the 41-year-old The Real co-host while in quarantine on March 27.

While Jeezy originally planned to propose to Jeannie in April during a previously planned vacation to Vietnam, he didn't let the outbreak of the coronavirus, which forced them to stay at home due to restricted travel around the world and global stay-at-home orders, get in the way of his proposal. He instead asked for Jeannie's hand in marriage at his home in Los Angeles.

“Jeannie and Jay were set for a trip to Vietnam this April. What Jeannie didn’t know is that Jay was planning to propose,” Jeannie's rep told People. “Instead, Jay decided to bring Vietnam to Jeannie with a surprise quarantine date night in his home filled with Vietnamese food and decor.”

As fans know, the two met on the set of The Real and began dating in November 2018. However, they didn't go public with their relationship until August 2019 when they attended a gala for Jeezy's non-profit, Street Dreamz, arm-in-arm.

“We both went through enough in our life to connect on the understanding that love should feel safe, honest, and pure,” the talk show host told People of her relationship with Jeezy in November. “Immediately that was a magnetic attraction. We are very attracted to each other’s passions to serve. So because we have a mutual joy of having purpose, we’re going to find a way to do that together.”

Congratulations to the happy couple!
