A Mid-Winter Night's Nightmare

Legendary performers such as Katharine Hepburn, James Earl Jones and Christopher Plummer passed through the Stratford theater back in its heyday, and the blaze took down the entire building. All that remains is ash. Many outlets are reporting that this is a "devastating blow to the theater community," but surely it is to the community in general.

The Shakespeare Academy at Stratford said it plans to return this summer for outdoor performances of “ Coriolanus,” “A Winter's Tale” and “Twelfth Night” despite the fire.
