Dr. Hook & The Medicine Show had several top 10 hits in the 1970s, including āThe Cover of Rolling Stone,ā āWhen Youāre in Love with a Beautiful Woman," āOnly Sixteenā and āSexy Eyes.ā Many of their songs were written or co-written by poet Shel Silverstein and featured in the 1971 movie āWho Is Harry Kellerman and Why Is He Saying Those Terrible Things About Me?ā
My particular favorite Dr. Hook tune - ironically covered here by one of my favorite bands, Bon Jovi - is "Sylvia's Mother," a Top 10 hit for the band.
