Doug Wimbish, who was raised in Bloomfield, said he stumbled upon a love for music later in life. He discovered a mandolin in his neighbor’s trash can. But despite being a “late bloomer," he said his connection to music was immediate.
“I’m here because I was thankful enough to have music in school,” Wimbish said to students at HSC yesterday. Wimbish donated two acoustic guitars, two electric guitars, two basses, two bass amps and three guitar amps of Peavey brand equipment.
