Vinnie Penn admired the unorthodox way Madison's Bob Stefanowski was campaigning and kept an eye on him, while it seemed as if few others did. As of last Tuesday night, this is no longer the case, nor does it appear to have been the case!
The former UBS Investment Bank chief financial officer accomplished his feat with a disparate coalition of support, many of whom latched right on to his contentious proposal to phase out the state income tax, as well as the corporate income and business entity taxes.
But now Stefanowski must win support of the unaffiliated voters, the largest voter bloc in the state, Penn among them. This was their first truly "nitty-gritty" chat, even while both agreed on one point that truly is all any Connecticut resident needs to know heading into the voting booth in November.
