Ozzy. Motley Crue. Skid Row. There was even a Russian rock band named Gorky Park, heavily influenced by their American counterparts, on the bill. And Jersey's own Bon Jovi rounded it all out.
The Moscow Peace Festival was offered on Pay-Per-View, and I ordered it, inviting all my boys over. We sat in my living room and watched all of our favorites rock out with an energy previously unseen, hit after hit, most of them clad in American flag jackets or playing in front of one proudly.
Some of these bands probably wouldn't do that today, which is a shame. I think it might just be time for the Moscow Peace Festival II.
