This winter season I am 16-9 and coming off of a win this past Saturday. It's a tough one tonight to start the week. It's hard to pick against Amity when they play in Woodbridge but, at the same time, I haven't seen Xavier yet this year, so I have no idea what to expect.
Coach always picks good games so I'm expecting another battle. I had to do some research on this game because I'm really torn on who to roll with. After looking at the schedules, I discovered Amity already beat Xavier earlier in the year and the Falcons were home that game. The thing is, Xavier also lost to Hamden on their home court only to later return the favor and beat Green Dragons in Hamden. That shows me they are capable of exacting their revenge on their opponents even if it means winning on the road. The other thing is Xavier is riding a 5-game winning streak and finishing off the last road game of a very productive road trip.
Amity, on the other hand, is riding a losing streak into this game. They are coming off a disastrous road trip where they went 1-3 losing three-straight. While that doesn't sound good, what does sound good is some home-cooking. Amity is a strong team at home, losing only to Hand in a game we broadcasted.
Wow, a lot to unpack but it really boils down to one thing for me. Amity is too good to keep losing like they are.
