Rick Fraulo's 93-year-old father Carmen is at Branford Hills Healthcare Center. Last week, Carmen’s roommate - and brother-in-law! - Louis Salzano died of the coronavirus. Carmen has it now, and his son was gonna find a way to see him, no two ways about it.
Enter: Christopher Viscuso, owner of Shoreline Landscaping and Tree Removal of Branford. With the blessing of Branford Hills, Christopher brought his bucket truck to the facility which allowed Rick to both see and speak with his dad on the second floor. Nurses wrote Carmen's name on the window so his son wouldn't be brought to the wrong one!
Greeted by a head nurse who was in tears, Rick was able to mouth the words "I love you" to his bed, who lay in his hospital bed. Message received.
